Formed in 1997, Working With Autism, Inc., is committed to being the leading provider of applied behavior analysis for the treatment of autism and other pervasive developmental disorders. Our agency is recognized in the community for the excellence of care provided to our families as well as the high qualifications and diverse skill set of our behavior interventionists. WWA is currently seeking energetic and enthusiastic behavior interventionists to work in the school and home settings in the San Fernando Valley.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, as we provide extensive training and direct support. Come join our team as a behavior instructor and make a difference in a child’s life! Our staff attend class with children on the autism spectrum, and provide support, working on promoting social interactions, addressing academic goals, and teaching appropriate school readiness behaviors.
Behavior Interventionists and instructors will be hired for full time employment promptly upon completion of training. Our staff provides behavioral services under the direct supervision of BCBA Case Supervisors, and implements Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. WWA provides ongoing training in the areas of Discrete Trial, Applied Behavior Analysis, and provides ongoing supervision/certification for Registered Behavior Technicians as well as BCBA hours.
Responsibilities and Duties for Behavior Interventionists
Responsibilities include providing behavior analysis, 1:1 with individuals on the autism spectrum, in both the school and home setting under the direct supervision of our BCBA Case Supervisors. Our WWA team members work together to help each child meet their individual goals, and maximize their potential in the areas of fine and gross motor, self help, communication, play, socialization, and school readiness skills.
At present time all school and home services are provided in adherence to the CDC COVID-19 guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills for Behavior Interventionists
Possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
Reliable transportation, valid drivers license and auto insurance
Experience working with children, preferably in a therapeutic setting
Exhibit professionalism when interacting with parents and/or other personnel
Full time availability, Monday – Friday
Bi-lingual in Spanish encouraged to apply
