WWA Adaptive Skills Training
Our adaptive skills training strives to enhance, teach, or remedy the child’s global adaptive functioning across domains of socialization, communication, personal hygiene, self help, and community participation. These services address the skills necessary to foster a child’s independence to a level equal to that of typically developing peers. Concurrently, the child’s family actively participates in acquiring the tools necessary to systematically develop their child’s skill set. The comprehensive adaptive skills program utilizes the principles of applied behavior analysis, to target functional independence and adaptive behaviors across varying ages and level of severity.
